The NRE Internet Marketing System (NRE/IMS) computers perform their transaction identification tasks under a structure wherein each buyer or property owner's information is associated with a 'registered listing agent' from a 'subscribing brokerage office.' That's how we are able to keep everything and everybody organized.
Office Registration - This is the first step toward a brokerage office's participation in the NRE Internet Marketing System (NRE/IMS or IMS). Each subscribing office must be a bona fide licensed real estate office in good standing in its state. In addition, the principal broker in that office must agree to a Code of Ethics designed to foster professional, confidential and ethical conduct at all times. After an information screen is completed and submitted, the office information is verified (usually in one business day or less), and an office ID number, office user ID, and an initial password are provided to the principal broker.
Agent Registration - Once a brokerage office is registered, each agent who wishes to participate must register as well. Each agent must be a real estate licensee in good standing, and associated with that subscribing office, and he or she must also agree to a similar Code of Ethics as agreed to by the principal broker. The registering agent must enter his or her office's credentials in order to access the agent information input screen. After that agent information screen is completed and submitted, the agent information is verified, and an agent ID number, agent user ID, and an initial password are provided to the agent. At that point the agent has access to the entire NRE/IMS system.
Confidentiality - All of the office and agent information required in the registration process is used solely in the administration of the NRE/IMS system. It is not made available by NRE to any outside persons or organizations. Certain information, but only if you choose to provide it, is available to other NRE/IMS participants when they are logged onto the system (telephone numbers, street and/or email addresses, etc.).
